In 2019, after establishing the Collège Protestant Français (CPF) in Beirut as one of Lebanon's most prestigious French schools, the Présence Protestante Française au Liban (PPFL) expanded its educational mission to a new region by acquiring Montana International College which became known as Collège Protestant Français Metn.
This acquisition allows PPFL to promote its educational values not only within the French educational system, but also within the English academic framework.
The founding principle of the CPF schools is to unite people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and religions, fostering collaboration and a profound sense of belonging within the CPF family.
Since July 2025, CPF Metn is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
The core significance of the IB is essential in developing inquisitive, knowledgeable, and caring young pioneers dedicated to cultivating a more peaceful and interconnected world built on understanding and respect. IBO
Student enrollment has grown steadily in recent years. Since the start of the 2025 academic year, the school has experienced exponential growth - a 181% increase compared to enrollment figures in September 2019. This impressive growth is the result of dedicated efforts of our team and administration, as well as significant financial investments made possible through the support of PPFL, strategic partnerships, and the continued trust of our families.
*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
